ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, it seems thast you have the issues of plugged sinusus for long duration.
If you suffer with deviated nasal septum along with plugged sinuses the air entry to the sinuses are less thereby reduced mucus clearance from sinuses.
It causes non pathogenc bacterias to become pathogenic so the strile clear mucus will become thick viscid yellowish/greenish/brownish mucus.
The solution is targetted for evaluation - XRay, Nasal endoscopy/CT PNS. depending on severity medical/surgical treatment will be planned.try mucolytics like N-acetyl cysteine or Ambroxol. nasal decongestant sprays twice dailyt for 5 days only. steam inhalation twice daily at least for 5-7 days. if all fails meet your ENT Dr.
Take care
