What Causes Poor Growth In A Child?
Hi Dr. Santosh, My dauther is 1year 10 months old. She is a premature baby. She is very active. For the last 8 months she is not sleeping well. Hardly sleeps 1 hr during morning and 3 to 4 hrs in night. Whole night she will have disturbed Sleep and not a sound Sleep. She is not gaining weight. Her current wait is 8KG. Is it a diseases? What could be the reason and will it impact her growth. Please suggest.

* As per my clinical experience, the poor growth of a child has to be evaluated by evaluation of developmental milestones in terms of motor, speech, social skills and rest of the parameters with an expert child neurologist.
So far as 8 kg weight is concerned, it does not sound to be that low as stamping poor growth.
