What Causes Poor Hearing?

I am a 59 year old healthy female. When I am out at a sports bar or restaurant with music I have a difficult time hearing conversation. I don t feel I am hard of hearing, per se, it just seems when there is background noise it is really difficult for me. Is there anything I can do?

HI,
This is due to age related sensorineural hearing loss..its not a disease it its normal phenomena occurs in everyone after around 55 years..consult an ENT surgeon and get aan audiometry done for knowing the percentageof loss of hearing ...depending on that he might advice a hearing aid .....regards..
