What Causes Poor Vision When Suffering From Diabetes And High BP?

My questions is my father has diabetes and high blood pressure and his been complaining that one of his eye he can't see. His very hard-head and don't want to go to the doctor. He says he has in an appointment in February to the eye doctor but, I'm scared he will be blind and will never see. Can you give me an advice to what I can do? Thank you!!!

Hello,
There are chances that he might be differing from diabetic retinopathy which is caused by longstanding uncontrolled diabetes.it is a dangerous situation and can cause blindness if not arrested in time.You should immediately consult an opthalmologist for evaluation.Most paramount important thing is to keep a control on sugar levels and blood pressure to avoid other damages and prevent progression of retinopathy,if present.
