General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

A very common cause of nausea with head tilt in the back is what is called Benign Paroxismal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). This is a benign condition due to some changes in the inner ear that is responsible for the balance and is easily treated with a maneuver that removes particles from one of the structures of the inner ear (Epley maneuver).

Another possible cause is arthritis of the neck. The doctor in this case might need to do some x-rays to diagnose it.

I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
