What Causes Popping Of Ear And Pain After Blowing Nose?

I am at the end of a 2 week bout with coughing and runny nose I am assuming is caused by ragweed. When blowing my nose this morning, I experienced a loud, shrill, piercing sound in one ear which stopped immediately. Since then I hear popping sounds and a little achy in that ear? Could I have an infection and need to see a dr?

hello, thanks for ur query, ear is connect by nose by et ( eusthacian tube) , whenever this tube blocked ( cold, flu, sinusitis, allergy) u feel ear block sensation, u can start decongestant tab. xyzal- d ( levocitrizine+ pseudoephidrine) one tab ya bed time for7 days, xylometazoline nasal drops 3 drops/ 3 time/1 week. valsalva manoere ( watch utube ) , chew chewing gum can be tried ,all d best. take care.
