What Causes Popping Of Ears Followed By Numbness In Left Side Of Face?

Hi. I was laying down when my ear got a very bad pain. It popped almost like on a plane but more painful after 5 mins it started going away. Then I realized the right half of my face and tongue went completely numb. I couldn t even close my eye. It was a little swollen but not bad. As soon as my ear popped a little my face went back to normal. I ve never experienced something like this

It seems you have facial palsy due to acute ear infection (acute otitis media) and should consult E N T surgeon at the earliest. Did you have flu like symptoms and fever before this happening? Well it could be Bell's palsy also. You need thorough examination to ascertain the cause of your symptoms and its treatment at the earliest.
