What Causes Popping Of The Knees?

Hi I could just be walking and something in my knee will pop. It then burns for several seconds, which makes me stop what I am doing, but then it s absolutely fine. This has been happening daily for the past couple of weeks. I have had no injuries and I have no knee pain aside from that. Any idea what it is?

Hi,

Knee popping may also occur after a ligament tear since the knee joint won't be moving normally due to the injury.

A meniscus tear is a tear in the cartilage of the knee may also cause a popping noise.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
