What Causes Popping Sensation And Clogged Ears?

Over the last few weeks when I lay down my ear pops and feels like it's blocked the onot way I can unblock it is by moving the tragus (I think it's called) or putting my finger inside the ear. I have noticed today that it feels very tender towards the inner part of my ear and is slightly raised. I also have developed quite dry skin by where my ears are pierced although I havent worn a pair of earrings since before this happened.

Thanks for the query..

As per your complain clogged feeling and popping of ears can be seen in condition like Otitis media, fluid in middle ear, Eustachian tube dysfunction, ear drum perforation etc..
You should consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and an Otoscopic examination can help in confirming the diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..

As of now you can use decongestant nasal drops and do Steroid nasal spray.
You can also try to open up the ears by doing Valsava Maneuver in which you should pinch your nostrils and close your mouth and blow air gently..
