What Causes Popping Sensation In The Left Shoulder?
Hi there, I was taking a shower yesterday morning, and when I went to lift my arm up, I felt a popping sensation in my left shoulder. I know it is not a dislocation as I can move my arm freely, but between my shoulder and neck is agonising. I cannot tilt my head back nor towards the right at all, but can move my head towards the left and downwards with only a little pain.
You may have got Subscapularis tendinitis or in other words Rotator cuff damage. Are you into weight lifting these days. I ask this because this is the most common cause of the shoulder injury of this kind. Treatment is just immobilization and rest. You can take some Paracetamom 500 mg 4-5 times a day or any other NSAID group of pain killer. Applying warm trusses will help too. All the best.
