What Causes Popping Sound In My Throat When I Sneezed?

My husband sneezed yesterday, he heard a pop in his throat, and then began to choke and cough. The front of his throat is sore, by his adams apple. He has sinus pressure Saturday, but said he seems fine. He woke up today with a scratch throat and was losing his voice. Any ideas of what happened? Thanks..

Hello,

Joints of the rib cage stretching during sneezing may cause clicking sound. Opening of Eustachian tube while sneezing can cause outpouching of tympanic membrane may cause clicking sound.

Probably change of the voice may be due to he developed laryngitis or pharyngitis. Use salt water gargling and water vapor inhalation, avoid spicy food and alcohol. Use tablet Alday dc twice a day for five days.

If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor, he/she will examine and treat you accordingly.
