What Causes Popping Sound In The Head Followed By Severe Headache?

Dear doctor, while lying on my side in bed I heard a popping sound in my head (my girlfriend could hear it too laying next to me) and then about an hour later when I got up to shower I got a sever nose bleed and a pounding headache. What could have caused this?

Hi,

Popping sound is likely due to opening and closing of eustachian tube. Bleeding occurs in very rare case due to rupture of minute veins.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pavani
