What Causes Positional Vertigo In A Person?

recently ive had this headache maybe about a week? & today i was sitting in the car with my friends, then all of a sudden it fell like the car was tipping over to the side like we were about to get into a car accident. but everything was normal, it was just me. what does is mean? is it just a minor headache?
