What Causes Post Nasal Drip And Chronic Cough?

I had a sinus infection back several weeks and my sinuses constantly drain into my throat constantly causing sever coughing. Tonight while driving, I almost passed out while coughing. Have felt trembling when the cough has gotten too hard in the past but never came close to blackout. Any ideas?

Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I reviewed your query and here is advise.
It looks like you are suffering an allergic rhinitis and it causes cough by post nasal drip.
I recommend you to take any antihistamine like desloratadine.
Rinse your nouse with saline water frequently.
You can use pseudo ephedrine decongestants.
Also you can use corticosteroids nasal spry like butesonide as prescribed by your doctor.
Hope I have answered the question.
