What Causes Pounding Of Heart And Tiredness With History Of Having Pacemaker?
I have a pacemaker for 5 years.Tonight my chest is pounding so I checked my pulse. It is running in the 40s and low 50s. My pacemaker is set to pace at 60. The last checkup I was pacing 81%.Have been more tired lately and SOB easily Should I be worried tonight? I have called the on call doc and waiting
If you have developed bradycardia (slow heart rate) even with pace maker, means there is a need to get a proper assessment done of the overall heart function. Better to get an early appointment with your cardiologist as you will need EKG plus few other tests including an echocardiogram). Thus, please see that an early appointment is secured. Do not panic and do not overtly exert.
