Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Delayed and irregular spotting can be due to pregnancy or due to the side effect of the nuriesterate hormone you are taking. Pain during intercourse and spotting after intercourse is most likely due pelvic and vaginal infection. If the urine pregnancy test is negative, then the pregnancy is ruled out. However, you should get an ultrasound done to confirm whether there is any pregnancy or not. You should also get yourself examined internally by an OBGYN specialist to rule out any other pathology. Hope you found the answer helpful. Regards Dr Deepti Verma OBGYN
