My husband has blood in his urine and no other symptoms. Last week ne has blood in his stood. We thought that was due to a high dose if ibuprofen he was taking by Doctor orders. March 17 he has rotator cuff surgery. He is still on Norco. What to do about the blood in the urine?

Hello, my name is dr Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern.
Some of the most common reasons of blood in urine are:
-Urinary tract infections.
-Kidney infections.Kidney infections are more likely to cause fever and flank pain.
-A bladder or kidney stone.
-Enlarged prostate.
-Some medications etc
Some it is necessary to do some examinations such as an urinalysis and an xray.
Treatment depend on the cause.
Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help, thanks!
