Hello, My the Mother went to the doctors in December 2014 and January 2015 in which they took a urine test both times only because the first time they found protein in her urine. My mother is 77 years old and has high blood pressure. She was currently taking one medication for that but was not helping all that well so they added another medication. I just thought I would let you know this. But getting back this protein in urine, doesn t everyone have protein in there urine? Is there a certain amount that is normal? Finally is there anything we can do at home to help lessen the protein
Hello sir, Good noon, I read your history in which you say that your mother has hypertention for that your mother take some antihypertensive... Now presence of protein in urine is totally abnormal as generally there is no protein in urine.if we found protein like albuminglobulin n other protein in urine than that indicate that kidney are compromised n doesn't work properly... N most common reason for findings protein in urin is infection hypertention diabetes some autoimmune disease...etc... Now your mother's urine has protein so I think hypertention affect your mother's kidneys as your mother has hypertention may other factors n reason are also there...but you didn't mention other factor or symptoms n sign that indicate other reasons So now I think it is due to hypertention may be uncontrolled or chronic so I suggest please consult your physcian for that... If uncontrolled hypertention than take medicine regularly plus diet n lifestyle modification are also there...like low salt diet n exercise etc that can help your mother
