What Causes Pressure And Pain In The Lower Abdomen?

I am 39 weeks along. Have been experiencing a pulsing type pressure/pain in lower abdomen area, as well as increased lower back discomfort. I do have a history of sciatica but doesn t seem like that is it. Feel pretty cruddy, constantly tight stomach, and increase in what feels like menstrual cramps. Early sign of labor, lightning, or what? As of last week I had a lot more thinning to go for cervix according to obgyn.

Better to get evaluated by your gynecologist and get a per vaginal examination done. It can be an early labor pain.
