What Causes Pressure And Pain On The Right Side Of The Rib?

I have an extra rib on my right side. I'm a female, 16 years old 5'4 110lbs. I have already been to a doctor about the pain I have been feeling from it but it seems like it hurts more frequently now. Sometimes I have to apply pressure to my rib because it feels almost out of place. I have asthma but no other diseases or conditions.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
You are having accessory rib. And this can cause chest pain and pressure.
So better to apply warm water pad on affected areas.
Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise. Avoid movements causing pain.
Avoid bad postures in sleep.
Try all these in your day to day life.
You will mostly improve. But if you don't improve then surgical removal of that rib is the only option.
So better to first try above mentioned nonsurgical measures.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
