I ve had what I believe to be GERD for the past two years....I don t taste any acid or feel a burning sensation but the effect has become a pressure that encompasses from my chest up (front and back) all the way to my ears (again, pressure). This pressure is so bad I have to stop moving for nearly a minute to let the acid subside. This happens multiple times during the day. I use performed to eliminate heart problems, Celiacs, etc. What I noticed after a lot of trial and error was that wheat may be the culprit. Severe symptoms after eating whole the term debilitating to describe this feeling. This usually happens during any exerting activity but even occurs when just walking. I eat a rather bland diet and very little acidic foods known to trigger acid reflux. I ve had all kinds of tests wheat pasta; bad symptoms after eating PB & J sandwiches for lunch; Cereal or whole wheat toast every morning. Its no wonder I was having these symptoms all the time. So, I put myself on a low carb diet trying to eliminate breads, wheat, etc. and for the most part this has helped. Only one or two episodes in the past 3+ weeks. My question is whether I am actually allergic to wheat in general, allergic to glutens, or what else it could be. Thanks in advance, Andrew Logan
