What Causes Pressure In Chest With Feeling Of Skipped Heartbeat?

Recently I have been having some chest pressure that feels like my heart is skipping a beat and it makes me cough. Most of the time I belch after these episodes as well. I don t know what is going on. I am sorry but I don t have any way to pay at the moment. Sorry to have wasted your time.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pressure in chest with feeling of skipped heartbeat . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that the symptom are either due to acid reflux or cardiac problem . I would suggest you to eat light and non spicy specially at night , eat small and frequent meals , take a light walk after every meal and take antacid after every meal . If condition still persist then consult cardiologist for proper examination and rule out condition like angina and pace maker problem . Doctor may order ECG ( which is already done ) , TMT , complete blood profile and check vitals . Doctor may prescribe isosorbid nitrate , betablockers , aspirin , sedative and frusadmide . Doctor may also recommend for heart surgery in case of severe heart problem . Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterologist for acuid reflux like condition .
