What Causes Pressure In Public Bone And Lower Back In Pregnant Lady ?

Hey,
I'm 29 weeks pregnant and for the past couple of days, I feel a lot of pressure in my pubic bone area and my lower back.
I find I need to urinate more often but when I do, only small amounts come out and the pressure gets worse.
Should I be worried?

Hi,
Your symptoms suggest the possibility of a descent of the baby down. This may have caused the pressure on the urinary bladder and thereby the urge to urinate frequently. You need an examination by your obstetrician immediately to rule out the possibility of a threatened preterm labor. Urinary infections as well as vaginitis etc. also need to be ruled out by examination and investigation. Please take bed rest preferably in the left lateral position, watch for fetal movements, avoid all stressful activity including sexual intercourse and maintain adequate electrolyte balance. Hope this helps.
