What Causes Pressure In The Bladder After Prostatectomy?

My husband had a prostatectomy in 2006 for prostate cancer. He also had a Jackson Pratt drain that was removed prior to him going home. My husband recently is having complaints of fullness and pressure in the his bladder area. My husband PCP ordered a CT scan of his bladder, that showed part of the drain (19cm) resting above his bladder. Will his symptoms get worse as time passes? Should the drain be removed? My husband is 81yrs old, has history of type 2 diabetes, HTN. Had leminectomy in 2012 and a craniotomy this year. He also has had a chronic low (48 thousand) platelet count for about 7 years.
