What Causes Pressure In The Chest While Eating And Breathing?

I have a son who is eight years of age with no noted health history. He has complained of "pinching" in his chest, unrelated to activity, eating, breathing, touching. It usually is not associated with any other symptoms. It lasts for a second then goes away. I plan to call our pediatrician today to make an appointment.
