What Causes Pressure In The Neck After A Whiplash Injury?

I slip on ice and fell on my back and hit my head on the left side and have whiplash bad .Its been 8 weeks and I still have pressure on both sides of my neck which I had never had before .I am 63 years old and in good health.WHY is there pressure not going away?
