What Causes Pressure In The Right Ear After A Fracture In The Left Ear?
I fell and hit my head and broke a bone in my left ear and since then I have had both ears feel like they have pressure in them. Clogged almost all the time. I have seen a Dr. and he said I have fluid behind the left ear. I don t understand why it would affect my right ear?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
May be trauma may cause fluid buildup in the left ear , but in the right ear problem may be due to eustachian tube block or allergy or tympanic membrane perforation due to counter croupinjury etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use water vapour inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Use decongestant nasal spray to relieve congestion. If symptoms not improved please consult your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
