What Causes Pressure In The Upper Abdomen?

I have experienced pressure pushing up from the stomach to just below the breasts then today I feel the pressure just on the right side and feels like a giant air bubble. It feels like when you over eat and are overfull. I haven t eaten that way for over thirty years.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
Fullness of stomach without excessive eating can be due to-
-Peptic or gastritis ( here burning is present )/digestive deficiency - due to insufficient digestive enzymes/ intestinal infection/ infestation causing loose motions or constipation & more of gas formation,
- The other possibility is functional dyspepsia ( H, pylori infection/abnormal muscles of stomach.. not relaxing in response to food input, this causes early sense of fullness / late gastric emptying.. leading to retained food being non digested for long time starts forming gas,
Your symptoms seem to be due to impaired function of stomach( functional dyspepsia)For this consultation & advise of a Gastroenterologist.
Thanks.
