What Causes Pressure On The Upper Back And Chest?

yesterday had sudden pressure at top of back on both sides and it was immobilizing- subsided after 3-4 minutes of standing still. Same thing occurred this morning while driving but subsided in 5 minutes. Just a short time ago - had pressure on chest for 2-3 minutes. Feel ok now

From the description you have provided, it looks like you may have had a myocardial infarct (also termed as heart attack), but cannot be proven until and unless an ECG is taken during your next episode.
I would suggest you to go to an emergency room for proper investigation and further management.
If in that case, you would be provided with nitroglycerin sub-lingual tablets to take as an when you experience this pain.

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to take some precautionary measures :
- try to not involve in any tedious tasks
- call for help during the next episode
- if you have any associated diabetes or high cholesterol, kindly keep a check on it.
