What Causes Pricking And Itching Sensation All Over The Body?

I feel pins and needles all over my body, then it gets itchy. I get these symptoms everyday, and then it feels like invisible bugs crawling behind my neck, but there is nothing there. This has been going on for 2 years. I thought is was a nerve problem, seen a specialist, its not. The bug crawling behind my neck seems to be getting worse. I dont know what this is

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pricking and itching sensation all over the body, well this is body's response to any external stimuli that irritates skin. It could sometimes occurs due to contact dermatitis, diabetes , depression , multiple sclerosis , deficiency of vitamin B 12 or anemia, allergic reaction and severe eczema. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to immediately consult dermatologist or doctor for proper evaluation of the condition and treatment. Doctor may perform skin test and patch test to find extent of infection. Doctor can give adrenaline injection. For now take over the counter antihistamine drug like benadryl , give cold compresses to affected area several times and apply cream containing steroids . Maintain hygiene completely.
