What Causes Pricking Pain In Abdomen While Recovering From Abdominal Abscess?
My wife is in recovery from abdominal abcess which occurred due to her c section over a month ago. She s had two drains and a pick line put in for aggressive antibiotics. She s now on week two from having them taken out but still experiences pricking pain in her abdomen. She s still taking oral antibiotics and hydro codon but these pains hit her randomly. What could this be due to? Is it normal? What can we do as far as with pain management?

She is having the right treatment. Antibiotics and draining the wound are the right treatment. If you don't see improvement you can do a culture of the wound material to find the right antibiotic.
