What Causes Pricking Sensation In The Middle Part Of Palms?
Hi, I ve been gardening lately and after half a day of it, I ve been experiencing this pricking sensation on the lower middle part of my palm. when i cup/curl my hands, its exactly in the middle. It feels like a cactus prick, even if i massage it, it still hurts with slight movements. Theres no indication of any spots whatsoever, it just hurts
After reading your question, to me it seems like a thorn prick or an insect bite. I would suggest you to thoroughly wash your hands for 5 to 10 minutes, apply and anti septic on your palm and then if you any over the counter topical antibiotic cream, apply that. Cover the site with a bandage. Keep the area clean and make sure to check signs of infection like fever, redness, or any discharge from the area.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Hiba Tehrim, General & Family Physician
