What Causes Pricking Sensation In Throat After Eating?
I'm worried because my problem repeats itself . It happens while I'm eating normally. Suddenly I feel as if there was a staple pin in my throat. I try to remove it with my tongue, which only makes it worse. Then I have some bleeding and later the area ( my soft palate or the back of pharynx ) feels swollen . Why would only my food contain staples so often and not others'
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pricking sensation in throat after eating which is mainly because of chronic laryngitis, granular pharyngitis, acid reflux and sinusitis. You need not to worry about it and should take the medications like antibiotics and painkillers and other medications like decongestants and saline nasal sprays. Along with this you should take antihistamines such as Sinarest as well. If it is due to acid reflux this can be managed by proton pump inhibitors like rabeprazole. Avoid hot, sharp and spicy food. Do warm saline gargles. Avoid alcohol and smoke. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and get lab investigations done to find out exact cause and start treatment as per that.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Take a good care of your health. Get Well soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
