Shortly after blowing my nose i experienced almost a prism effect in my right eye. Almost like a pocket of water floating in the corner and when light hit is it would cause a prism effect. This lasted about 10 to 15 minutes then went way. Now I have a pressure in both eyes. I am just getting over a cold and have seasonal allergies.
Prism effect is because of the light reflecting from the water in the eyes which is then viewed by the eye in different wavelengths. It is a normal phenomenon. But the cold affected the various sinuses related to nose and eye and causes the inflammation. If it is seasonal then it is better to concern a doctor and take his advice regarding the treatment and precautions of allergic reactions and avoid any kind of discomfort and complications in future.
