Contact dermatitis can be due to long term use of these products, which causes irritation in the normal vaignal skin and whenever anything comes in contact with your skin or rubbed against your skin, you got the symptom. Besides this eczema or psoriasis may also occur which can cause the problem but all these can be ruled out by clinical examination. * Sometimes the normal flora(the micro organisms living in the vagina without harming them) of vagina got disturbed and can produce symptoms like this. * You need to visit a nearby gynecologist for clinical examination as the doctor can take a look at these and can rule out the exact cause. If you need a local ointment then the doctor can prescribe it after taking a look at the skin. * Till then as a precautionary measure wear loose and comfortable cotton undergarments. * Instead of using tempons use simple cotton sanitary pads and change them frequently. * Keep the vaginal area clean and dry as if it will remain moist may lead to fungal infection. * Use mild soap for washing vagina as harsh soap can casue more irritation. * Instead of nuva ring you can choose oral contraceptives after consulting your doctor. *You can sitz bath once or twice a day.
