Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Profuse Cold Sweats In A Heart Patient?
Hi, my significant other has a defribrilating pace maker and recently was placed on a diuretic due to significant water retention. He lost 10+ in one week, but the medicine leaves him feeling week. Now, he is experiencing cold-sweaty clamminess, intermittently during nite and day. He is seeing his cardiologist on Tuesday morning, but this is troubling. He has not felt well since July 5. He has had his pacemaker for more than 5 years (It was recently replaced due to battery decline).
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if this is the cardiac condition and have some symptoms then it needs some investigation and first is EKG and second ECHO without this nothing can be said for sure because symptoms alone can not be granted for anything at least from this forum, but seems that it may not be anything to worry, still better to see the cardiologist hope this information helps.
