What Causes Profuse Sweating And Dizziness While Exercising?
I cannot find out why I get extremely hot & sweat profusely. Today while doing strength training I got light headed, dizzy and then threw up. Very weak. Am 71 & I do recumbent elliptical for 25 minutes & get my heart rate up to as high as 136 but primarily 119-129. Then I do strength training on machines for about 30-35 minutes. I ALWAYS sweat a lot but never what happened today. Other times I have had very similar situation was playing golf in mid afternoon, hiking around noon time or power washing the patio. First time I have thrown up though was today. Have my annual or 6 month checkups, heart checked recently; BP always good. Am a 5 5 female and weigh 171 having lost 26 # on weight watchers since March 1.
Sweating is common while having strenuous exercise. Dizziness is due to fall in blood pressure due to excess dehydration during exercise. I will advise you to have plenty of warm water in the morning daily. Drink water as much as you can during exercise.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
