What Causes Profuse Sweating And Headache In A Heart Patient?

My father has had 4 heart attacks and 2 strokes. He was admitted to the hospital on Saturday with pneumonia, sepsis, and mild heart attack (minimal damage recorded). He now has high potassium, the sweats and has been complaining of a headache for several days. My concern is stroke. He is Type 2 diabetic , not well controlled.

Hello,

There are several causes of sweating and in your case, it can be due to: Infection from pneumonia. Diabetes mellitus due to the low glucose level in blood. Due to blood pressure.

Sepsis leads to fever it often leads to sweating. Don't worry you will feel healthy provided you have a consultation with a nearby physician to find the level of glucose in the blood.

To find the underlying infection. To check the level of triglycerides. To check electrolytes in the blood.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
