What Causes Progressive Loss Of Balance And Unsteady Gait?
I am progrsesivley loosing my balance with out any reason. I have a history oh head tramas and a series of concusion, but that was 1970-1973. cinice then ive had situation that I am falling constantly. I had a cuadruple heart surgery 11 years ago and I am diabetic type II. I have seen secialist and they find nothing worng. not even the V.A. Has been able to give me an answer.
I warmly Welcome you to HCM. I have carefully gone through your case and it seems to be due to cerebellar dysfunction. Cerebellum is the brain area concerned with the gait and balance management. Hostory you have is highly suggestive of the same.
History of Head Injury, frequent falls, concussions, diabetes, quadruple heart surgery are all suggestive of the problem in brian.
I preferably suggest you to consult a Neurosurgeon to look into the matter. While in his office, he will examine you, will run a battery of tests and will treat accordingly.
Hope it helps. If you need further assistance, contact me anytime directly from my profile.
Regards! DR.HANIF USA
