What Causes Progressively Worsening Of Tremors In Hands?

Over the past year + , I have been experiencing progressively worsening tremors in both hands that are more pronounced on the left than right. The tremors occur only when I begin to bend my fingers such as when I start to make a fist or hold my hand in a slightly bent position. However, they stop when I hold something such as a pen. In other words, they are not resting tremors. There is no pain, tingling, numbness or any other unusual associated sensation. No real noticable weakness but I have experienced some unusual hand cramps and twitching in my hands and other parts of the body (e.g, deltoid, calf, forearm). I have had an ACDF at C5-C7. Neurologists thinks it is likely spinal but I m questioning that given no other typical spinal symptoms (e.g., numbness, pain, or tingling). Thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It can be pressure on specific motor nerves only at cervical spinal level / or carpel tunnel syndrome. Local and cervical spinal MRI along with the help of an expert orthopedic surgeon / neurologist would help.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
