Hi, Regestrone is a hormonal preparation and used for regulating menstrual irregularities & contraception. Regestrone if taken cyclically for three consecutive months would correct temporary hormonal imbalance. As it also acts as a contraceptive, there is no chance of pregnancy when the regular cyclical treatment. But, Regestrone is known to cause fetal abnormality if taken during pregnancy. So it should not be taken. Stick to the dosage regime as advised by treating doctor. In case you don t get periods normally, you should get ovulation study done (a USG investigation to monitor ovulation) to confirm/exclude normal ovulation PCOD is an ovulation problem & likely to hamper conception.
