What Causes Prolonged Bleeding After A Shot?

I got the shot in august. And I got what I think is my period on Friday but now I m reading that I could bleed for the rest of the time. And my period usually last about 5 days and this one doesn t seem to be going anywhere. So I m concerned on what I should do.

Hi,
I have gone through the query and understood your concern. When you get a hormonal contraceptive, it is natural during the initial couple of months to experience menstrual disturbances. Anyway, if the bleeding/spotting is persistent, you need help from your consultant. Styptics, weight management and finally, hormones, are the mode of management. Hope this helps.
