What Causes Prolonged Bleeding During Periods?

I have been bleeding for 2 weeks and it doesn't look like it's going to stop any time soon, I don't know what to do or if this is normal, it's not normal for me to have this long of a period, i have recently gotten off of the pill could this be a cause of that?
