Hi. I just started using petogen and ive been bleeding for four weeks straight.. its another month now and im still bleeding. Lately the blood will stop but whenever i need to urinate especialy if i dnt go when i need to go.... whats the couse of this
Petogen is a drug that is similar to one of the female hormones called progesterone. It is generally used to induce periods and treat abnormal bleeding that is related to the lack of progesterone but in some cases may cause irregular bleeding itself.
If these come out normal, the doctor may prescribe you some estrogen tablets for as long as the Petogen will work in your body. This will help with the bleeding related to Petogen.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician

What Causes Prolonged Bleeding While On Petogen?
Hello, Petogen is a drug that is similar to one of the female hormones called progesterone. It is generally used to induce periods and treat abnormal bleeding that is related to the lack of progesterone but in some cases may cause irregular bleeding itself. You will need a visit to first rule-out other causes of bleeding. A transvaginal ultrasound is needed and a pap smear as well.
