What Causes Prolonged Bloating Post Treatment For Bladder Infection?
I was diagnosed with a bladder infection last thursday, I went in because of stomach pains and bloating. I was prescribed cipro and medronizole. I am still very bloated and am so weak I can hardly stand it. I head read the antibiotics could cause the bloating, but I had that before I went. Just wandering if all this was normal? I am 55 years of age, and have never had one before, I had started a new rx (evista) on mar. 27th and immediately started having the symptoms above mentioned. the doctor said none of the symptons were from the rx, but instead from the uti
Yes, this is indeed very normal. Especially the metronidazole can be very hard on the stomach and bacterial colonies of the intestinal tract, and bloating, diarrhea and stomach pain is common during and after metro-treatment.
