What Causes Prolonged Delay In Periods?

I am 28 years old. I skipped my period for already 4 months now. I never had regular periods in my life either only when I was on birth control pills. I m not pregnant. Right now I m not on the pills anymore for more than a year. Should I be concerned?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI
WELCOME.
I HAVE GONE THROUGH YOUR QUERY.
AS YOU HAVE MENTIONED THAT YOU ARE NOT PREGNANT, DELAYED PERIOD NEED TO BE EVALUATED.
I WOULD SUGGEST YOU TO VISIT OBG SPECIALIST FOR EVALUATION.
IT MIGHT BE DUE TO PCOD, NEED EVALUATION. I WOULD HAVE ASKED YOU FOR ULTRASOUND ABDOMEN AND PELVIS.
This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
