What Causes Prolonged Delay In Periods?

I had missed a period in July but have had them the past 2 months but they have been shorter than usual. I have never had sex before but my boyfriend and I have fooled around but I have been fully clothed. Is there any chance that I can be pregnant? All the urine test I have taken both at home and in the doctors office have been negative.

After having gone through the history given in your query, the period could have been delayed due to stress, emotional upset, hormonal disturbances, thyroid problem, or any other underlying medical illness, diseases of the ovaries or uterus.
Since the chances of pregnancy following the "dry hump" encounter with your boyfriend are almost zero, so consult a gynecologist for certain lab tests to rule out any other possible cause of delayed period and if there is no such detectable cause your doctor may prescribe Tab Norethisterone to induce bleeding.
