What Causes Prolonged Light Brown Vaginal Bleeding After Having Intercourse?

Is a light brown discharge normal? It has been 12 days since I have had sex. For the past few days, I have been experiencing a light brown discharge. It was my first time. Is this normal? He used protection but when he rubbed it against my hole it was unprotected. What does the discharge mean? Should I see a local doctor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Light brown discharge following intercourse is quite normal during first few times. This could be due to bleeding from damaged hymen tissue.
It should subside after a couple of encounters.
Hence, for time being, you can relax.
In case it doesn't subside, you need to see a Gynecologist and get a per speculum examination done to explore the cause, so that it could be properly treated.
Hope the information provided would be useful.
All the best.
