What Causes Prolonged Menstrual Bleeding And Vaginal Pain?

I have been on my menstral cycle for 30 days. It started out light but dark blood and has gradually increased to bright red with passing large clots. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Welcome to HCM
I appreciate your concern.
-You mentioned that you have diabetes but are you take any medication other than insulin like aspirin?
-Are you use any family planning method like IUD?
-You must do more investigation like thyroid function test and vaginal ultrasound to exclude cervical polyp, cervical erosion and uterine fibroid.

#Until you do that take non steroidal anti inflammatory drug like ibuprofen to reduce bleeding and eat food that rich in iron to prevent anemia that may result from chronic blood loss.

Best Regards
