What Causes Prolonged Menstrual Bleeding?

Hello. I am a female. 49 years of age. In great health. I walk on average 13000 steps a day. Only take a multivitamin each day. I started my period 4 weeks ago. It decreased done to about nothing and then started right back up again. No pain, no clotting, but occasional heavy bleeding. Will this stop soon?

Hi during pre--menopause this can happen. If it does not reduce--see a Gynaecologist to rule out any other local cause in Uterus--regards
